Bobbi McNamara is a freelance photographer and film director based in Chicago, IL. They have written and directed both short films and music videos, and produced multiple photoshoots with professional models. In addition, Bobbi is experienced in cinematography, lighting design, and child directing. In May of 2026 they graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Film and Television.  

As an artist, Bobbi has an eye for complex moments, finding beauty in even the darkest parts of the human experience. They are drawn to fantastical and deeply personal ideas, using them as a way to explore experiences that are raw and relatable. Whether it be on a film set or creating a still image, Bobbi is interested in capturing moments that feel honest, while still existing just beyond reality. 

Collaboration is at the heart of Bobbi's creative practice. They approach both photography and filmmaking with empathy, putting the people they work with first and creating an environment where performers, models, and collaborators feel comfortable to explore new ideas. Their goal is to create art that invites audiences to feel something first, and question it second.
